What the case is about

Tallinn city and its hinterland is the largest urban region in Estonia (with nearly 500 000 inhabitants). IMAGINE focuses on analysing options for the prevention and mitigation of negative impacts and pressures from planning, construction and use to green infrastructure.

How IMAGINE addresses the problem?

The study describes and explains the interfaces between natural and social systems in green infrastructure governance, such as how, to what extent and in which conditions green infrastructure planning supports the maintaining of biodiversity / ecosystem services or, how this is related to different biodiversity and governance levels.
